What a week! Mochi (a.k.a. rice cake) in abundance. Two pics here. One of Kai making mochi at his kindergarden. The other is of a monk at a local temple officiating over a dangerous event/ceremony where people throw hard pieces of mochi off the temple balcony into the crowd below to bring luck during unlucky years. Great advantage being tall but I still got a couple in the face. Ouch!
