This came through from a Turkish teacher using Potato Pals; spuds made from stockings full of earth and grass seeds. They sprout hair apparently! Yum!

Gotta try those.... Quick question... We are about to restart potato pals and you know how it goes as a teacher-- by the time the year is finished and the next group is starting, you realize how young they once were. So, this next group seems so young to me and I am really wishing I had some stuffed Potato Pals dolls or puppets...Any chance OUP will be making them? I'm sure they would be a hit. Who can I write to to pester for puppets? (the paper cutouts on chopsticks just aren't cutting it!)
Hi Troy, You had better get in touch with big bad Oli at OUP in Tokyo and get him to start stitching. I noticed (jealously) that the new Let's Go edition had some cat finger puppets so maybe there's hope. If all else fails I'll make you some.
